Inositol Hexaphosphate (IP-6), also known as phytate, is a component of certain dietary fibers found in beans, brown rice, corn, sesame seeds, and other high fiber foods. IP-6 can inhibit oxidative reactions initiated by iron, one of the major contributors to the proliferation of free radicals in the human body.
